Working as a growth designer, I worked on many aspects of the Wattpad core product across Web, Android and iOS platforms optimizing experiences and SEO through the lens of increasing our audience size of over 60 million users. I worked across the entire user lifecycle from top of the funnel discovery to long-term engagement, reading and retention. Working closely with our product manager and engineers to optimizing these micro-experiences with speed of execution allowed us to push experiments out as a way to test, iterate and learn.
Below are just some experiments that the team learned a lot from. Many have gone through multiple iterations after the initial launch of the update.
